Integrated Agriculture Program Success Analysis In The Sub District of Islands, Kota baru District, South Kalimantan Province

The Increasing of agricultural production and sustainable management is needed to support national food security. Integrated agriculture is one form of environmentally friendly agriculture practices that can be used as a solution to food security. Sebuku Island District is a sub-district in the small island of South Kalimantan that has begun implementing an integrated agricultural program, although its success has not yet been evaluated.

The objective of this research is to evaluate the integrated agricultural program implemented and to create an alternative model and better integrated agricultural practices. Evaluation is using a multi criteria analysis method. Furthermore, the relative weighting and score determination is based on data collected. The next step determines the final score value that describes the successful implementation of the evaluated farming program. The results of the evaluation shows that out of 10 criteria, only one criterion is within the range of acceptable integrated agriculture (score ≥3), ie environmental goal criteria. Other criteria such as economic goals, land management, social objectives, marketing support, waste management and new climate / climate management can be met by at least in one village. Three other criteria, namely crop management, animal management, and institutional, have not been fully met throughout the village.

This is influenced by the lack of institutional function as well as the understanding / knowledge of citizens about integrated agriculture and technology in integrated agriculture. A better integrated and sustainable agricultural program can be pursued by establishing agricultural institutions, improving human resources and facilitating marketing and marketing facilities. The involvement and cooperation of all parties ie citizens, government, private and NGOs is needed to achieve the desired success of integrated farming.
